Responsibilities of the Senior Accountant role: End to end ownership of month end processes Preparing monthly management accounts (P&L, Balance Sheet) Control of month end reporting, balance sheet reconciliations and statutory accounts Process improvement, create reporting efficiencies and making a mark on the controls, reconciliation and reporting processes Meet statutory deadlines for VAT Returns, Payroll PAYE, Statutory Accounts, Company and Self-Assessment Tax Returns Controlling general accruals and prepayment Working within budgets set at the planning stage Supervising Bank reconciliations Supervision of an AP accountant Capabilities of the Senior Accountant role: ACA, ACCA, CIMA fully-qualified with around 2 years post-qualified experience Have experience in a similar environment or come from practice Strong technical ability in all month end processes and technical accounting Have strong technical knowledge on new UK GAAP Excellent IT skills, strong Excel and modelling skills Good interpersonal and communications skills
