Finance Manager - Northampton - up to £50,000 per annum benefits This role is an amazing opportunity to join a start-up business reporting into the CFO to set up and lead the financial management and control function. Working alongside the CFO responsibilities will include: Developing and implementing the accounting system - expected to be Sage - working in partnership with the rest of the business and group function Developing strong internal controls and processes across finance and the rest of the business; revenue, expenditure, balance sheet Bank, cash management and controls, reporting and forecasting Alignment of reporting with the billing management function Management reporting & forecast structure and timetable aligned with business and group requirements. Other project work as required (e.g. VAT, audit). Post launch, the role will continue to develop in terms of profile and responsibility establishing a strong partnership into the business senior management team and into group. Examples: development of business performance insight, systems, controls, treasury, managing outsource provider deliverables, tax, audit and risk management. We'll start off small and you'll also need to be adaptable as we build the team over time; for example, you may need to provide holiday cover for your colleagues in finance. This a very exciting and broad role, you'll have lots of autonomy and will be encouraged to share your ideas of how we can shape the team and grow. What will make you a good fit: You'll be qualified having broad skills and a proven track record in finance, ideally mobile telecoms. This is a 'hands on' role which will require excellent communication, project and reporting skills, as well as a strong technical background with strong systems and database skills. You'll have an entrepreneurial spirit with a 'let's find a way to make it work' attitude, a strong desire to develop your own capabilities and to support others.
