Finance Assistant We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Finance Assistant to join our client at their head office based in East Staffordshire near Stoke on Trent. This is a varied role, will suit a methodical and motivated individual who enjoys working in a busy finance department. Ideally you will be AAT or can demonstrate experience in a similar role. You will be reporting into the Financial Controller, and be responsible for providing support to the wider finance team as well as focussing on key areas of financial control. Main Duties Prepare appropriate journals for month end close Contribute to achieving month end close Weekly reporting and invoice processing Cost centre reporting and associated analysis Processing credit card and expenses Complex reconciliations Develop and maintain a good working relationship(s) with all departments This is a key role within the finance department and therefore requires an experienced individual who has a passion for leadership and motivating a small team. Experience Required The right person for this role will have a strong background in accounts, be confident . Have a flexible approach and be confident communicating with internal departments such as customer service and operations. Essential skills You should have strong communication skills and be a confident problem solver. We're looking for someone with strong Excel skills as well as an ability to lead a small team.
