The Organisation: BMC are thrilled to be working alongside Adderstone Group, a dynamic and passionate residential and commercial property development company based in the heart of Newcastle upon Tyne. Our clients Finance team is mainly comprised of people who have experience of working in Accountancy Firms or Outsourcing organisations, as this background suits the diversity of the role and multi-site nature of the business Duties: Working closely with the Finance Director, Finance Manager and Accounts Team, and sub-contractors, in this diverse (but office based) role you will be responsible a range of financial and management accounting duties including: Cash flow forecasting - day to day management Raise internal invoices and summarise for internal & external reporting Authorise purchase invoices and investigate anomalies Control purchase orders and ensure sales invoices are ultimately generated Control costs and ensure allocated to most appropriate funds Monthly management accounts - cradle to grave (Look to improve each month/ quarter) Processes and procedures applied on a monthly basis that comply with annual reporting requirements Quarterly reporting for consolidated position within the Department and Group Quarterly reporting to shareholders Quarterly covenant reporting to lenders Annual financial statements Use of Excel to produce and add value to reporting - most regularly used - tables, pivot tables, SUMIF's, IF's, VLOOKUP's Corporate tax computations and capital allowances calculations Reporting to internal and external stakeholders, incorporating both financial and detailed entity reporting Vat Registration/ OTT/ quarterly returns, and deal with HMRC enquiries/ visits CT61/ R185 calculations and reporting Personal and partnership tax reporting Person Specification: AAT qualification is desirable Appropriate language in all correspondence, both internal and external Excel skills Manage own deadlines and workloads - communicate on a timely basis Control others and manage their deadlines, where necessary Liaising with non-finance departments and have ability to communicate well with staff of varying experience
