Cumbria / Home working £dependent on experience Our client is a specialist mortgage lender which is going through a significant period of change and growth. This is a great opportunity for an experienced Head of Finance / FD / CFO level candidate to join an established and highly respected organisation and to build a truly world class finance function in a highly customer focused lender. The role will focus on change and transformation within the whole finance team rather than a purely 'business as usual' reporting position. Our client has a relatively new FD and your role will be to work alongside them on strategic elements of the finance and wider team but also more specifically take a lead in a number of important projects and challenges that are coming up over the coming years. These include re-engineering many of the finance processes, improve corporate planning, reviewing auditors, moving fully to IFRS9 and moving from Libor to SONIA. So you will be kept busy In return there is a highly competitive remuneration package (ideally on a Perm basis but will consider a long term Contract) and whilst their office location is next to the beautiful Lake District, there is a lot of potential for flexible working from home if you live further afield. If you wanted to move to the area, there is a relocation package on offer. Skills and Behaviours required Qualified accountant with 10 years' experience in a banking based finance function 5 years' experience working in or managing a financial department Experience of managing/developing teams, organising projects and priorities, managing key stakeholders Retail banking/mortgage experience preferable. Good understanding of the UK financial services environment and the mortgage/retail savings market
