Job Details

Working in a team of 7, you'll have full ownership of the accounts payable cycle. It involves invoice processing across multiple currency, VAT returns, reconciliations and carrying out weekly payment runs.

The client is a leading Architecture firm based in the city of London that have a global presence and an ever expanding team. The role has come about due to expansion as their client base is growing and they have the needs to have more hands on deck. As a company, they pride themselves on being very sociable so they're looking for someone who shares that ethos and would fit in well with the team culture.

Description

The key responsibilities are:

  • Collate, code and process all accounts payable invoices for the European and Middle East offices
  • Review and check invoices to ensure the commitment of company funds is duly authorised
  • Perform weekly payment runs for suppliers
  • Pay all foreign suppliers through wire transfer using our electronic banking system
  • Control and reconcile the petty cash floats and credit cards
  • Monitor, control and reconcile the monthly prepayments schedule
  • Be proactive in streamlining processes and improving internal control procedures
  • Develop understanding of our accounting software so that you are seen as an expert and a resource to staff
  • Cross-train and work closely with other team members so that we function as a cohesive and high performing team. Assist the team with any ad-hoc projects or analysis
  • Process non UK salary payments in accordance with those countries regulations

Profile

The successful candidate will have:

  • At least 5 years experience in a similar role
  • Track record of experience managing the full cycle of Accounts Payable
  • Knowledge and understanding of VAT
  • Experience with BACs payments and international wire payments
  • International experience preferred
  • Experience in A/E industry or a professional services firm preferred
  • Proficient using Advanced Excel, Word, E-mail and the Internet
  • Relevant AP certifications a plus
  • Knowledge of Deltek Vision a plus
  • Excellent organisational skills as well as a high attention to detail
  • Ability to communicate effectively with individuals at all levels
