Finance Manager

Your new company

We are working with a leading travel management company based in Central London to recruit for a Finance Manager job. Your new company is part of a global network including lots of international subsidiaries, allowing their customers to ensure a fair price for their travel plans.

You will be part of a newly structured team - as a new Director of Accounting looks to implement best practice accounting across the business. This job is one of two new positions being recruited, and will focus on ensuring that all transactional processes across the finance function are running smoothly.

Your new role

In your new role, you will be reporting to the new Director of Accounting, and will act as a key member of the Finance team. In this role; you will lead and inspire the transactional team, largely made up of junior finance professionals, to maintain the highest levels of quality, drive efficiencies in transactional processes, track KPIs and assist with systems implementations, as needed.

Adherence to Internal Controls will be paramount in the role, which will then allow a smooth running of day to day back-office functions.

You will also work closely with the Senior Accounting Manager, who will also be in a newly created position, to drive down the time month-end close takes the company, and ensuring that all transactional finance such as VAT, Tax and billing matters are dealt with accurately and timely.

What you'll need to succeed

• Fully Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA)
• Experience leading transactional finance teams
• Experience working in a matrix structured organisation
• Ability to work with stakeholders at various levels of seniority
