Then this could be the role for you My client is a forward-thinking organisation based in London looking for a Senior Accounts Payable Officer to join their finance team in an overreaching role, being the link between accounts payable and the other c.2500 staff within the organisation. The main responsibilities of this role are as follows: Overseeing the work of all other accounts payable staff to ensure that key duties, such as payment runs, are completed in an accurate and timely manner. Being the first point of contact for any and all accounts payable queries from the c.2500 staff throughout the organisation. Regularly meet with senior managers across the organisation to ensure all invoice deadlines are met by their teams, creating key performance indicators (KPIs) to reflect this. Taking the lead in the company procure-to-pay project that is currently being undertaken. Provide training to any staff related around the accounts payable function. Lead the accounts payable department in the absence of the Accounts Payable Manager. This role, as second in seniority within the department, has a vast amount of responsibility for the day-to-day running of the department and will act as its face across the wider organisation. This role offers the successful candidate the wonderful opportunity, to broaden their managerial experience within this supervisory role within an organisation that gives employees every opportunity to progress. The successful candidate will have: Extensive experience of working in an accounts payable function. Excellent communication skills. Experience of completing payment runs and supplier reconciliations. Previous management experience would be a benefit, however, those without this are still encouraged to apply.
