Financial Controller. Leicestershire. Our client, a highly successful and rapidly expanding Leicester company, with an enviable customer base, is seeking a commercially aware qualified and experienced accountant, (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) to undertake the role of Financial Controller, reporting to the Finance Director. This business has undergone a period of change, and with planned expansion anticipates a significant increase in turnover over the next few years. This fast-paced company offers an energetic, hands-on individual the opportunity to develop his/her career in an exciting commercially orientated environment. As Financial Controller you will be responsible for all day to day accounting and financial matters of the company. Supervision of the finance team covering both Financial and Management Accounts, including sales and purchase ledgers, credit control, bank reconciliations and overseeing payroll. Responsible for the financing of all fixed asset purchases. Preparation and detailed review and analysis of monthly management accounts for discussion at Board level. Preparation of year end statutory accounts. Liaising with external auditors and agreement of year end statutory accounts. Preparation of Cash flows/Forecasts and Budgets on an annual basis and ad-hoc projects as required. This role is not just number-crunching-it requires sound commercial acumen. The successful candidate will be an ambitious and energetic individual who is prepared to get involved in all aspects of the business, and be able to work in a fast paced environment. The role would suit a candidate who is looking to become Financial Director in the future but in the meantime is able to work as Financial Controller within a fairly informal management structure.
