Accounts Assistant Reports To The Accounts Assistant will report to the Management Accountant Job Overview To undertake a variety of finance related tasks including efficiently processing sales invoices and purchase invoices along with payments, receipts, keeping the company's systems up to date, and assisting the Senior Accounts Assistant & Management Accountant. Responsibilities and Duties: Posting and allocation of sales ledger receipts Resolving any invoice queries to ensure timely payment of accounts Calculating settlement discount Taking credit card payments Setting up new accounts and raising insurance cover Credit Control Sales invoice processing and EDI submissions Matching, checking and coding Purchase invoices Setting up of new supplier accounts and maintaining existing account details Reconciliation of supplier statements Filing invoices Assisting the wider finance team as required The Ideal Candidate: Excellent communication skills Solid team working skills Self-disciplined and efficient, with a flexible and proactive nature Experienced in Excel and Microsoft office packages Ability to work to deadlines Desirable Knowledge of software packages such as SAGE 200 and Factory Manager Accounts Experience working in sales and purchase ledger departments
