IT Audit Manager (NEW TEAM)
Our client, one of the largest providers of insurance services in the United Kingdom and a FTSE 100 business, is looking to grow its IT and Change Internal Audit capability following a major acquisition in 2018, and in preparation for continued growth in the wider business. This role would be a key hire in helping the leadership team achieve this objective. Reporting directly to the Senior Audit Manager leading the IT and Change IA team, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to make an immediate impact, with a series of high profile audit engagements to influence senior stakeholders, and will play a key role helping shape the audit plan and approach for IT. Based in Edinburgh, this is an excellent opportunity to deepen and broaden technology and change skills and experience, whilst developing key leadership capabilities. As part of a newly created team, you would have the chance to influence the team and approach, in an environment that places significant emphasis on relationships, open communication and team development. To be successful you would need the following skills and experience, as a minimum:
• IT Audit or IT risk management experience.
• Excellent planning, co-ordination and organisation skills, balancing audit delivery with external demands and managing multiple priorities. Ability to proactively plan for future challenges.
• Expert IT specialist knowledge, with a strong understanding of all relevant technical matters and relevant best practice risk & control frameworks, ideally within a highly regulated corporate environment.
• Strong stakeholder management and relationship building skills with the ability to influence at a senior level.
• Track record of continuous improvement and embracing change.
