Personal Tax Senior sought for the busy, award-winning tax team of this firm of Chartered Accountants in Edinburgh. As Tax Senior, you will be responsible for managing the compliance process and related administration tasks for a varied portfolio of clients. You will also have the opportunity to develop your tax planning experience through supporting management with ad hoc advisory projects. Other responsibilities include: Preparing Income Tax returns and computations of tax liabilities Preparing Capital Gains Tax computations Preparing Partnership Tax returns Overseeing and supporting junior members of the team, reviewing their compliance work Drafting professional and exceptionally written letters to clients, HMRC and other associated parties Regular telephone communication with HMRC Participation in client meetings as required Ensuring a high quality of administration work, using Microsoft Word and Excel Acting as a role model and supporting junior members of the team Ideally you will be ATT qualified with a minimum of 2-3 years' experience gained within a professional tax department. You will have comprehensive private client tax experience and will demonstrate a willingness to develop your technical exposure and experience of trusts, estates and unincorporated businesses.
