Finance Officer (Payables Team) Ware currently creating Talent PIPELINES for Assistant Finance Manager roles that we will be recruiting for across several Government Organisations and Contracting Authorities in the coming weeks / months. As Finance Officer you will: Provide support for the Senior Financial Control Manager in delivering effective management of payments and outward cash-flows. Ensure full agency compliance with various financial legislation, rules and requirements and that processes are complete within the required timescale (e.g. regarding debtors or the agency's Prompt Payment commitment). Ensure incoming financial documents and reports are logged and processed before distributing them to appropriate audiences. Act as first point of contact for staff queries regarding shared services, providing support; investigating, analysing and resolving disputes, and escalating issues to the Senior Financial Control Manager where necessary. Maintain journals relating to financial procedures and log relevant information on areas such as invoices, receivables, direct debit payments made or T&S and GPC claims to enable effective quality assurance practices. Continuously review claims, invoices and payments to ensure appropriate use of public funds, particularly covering travel expenses and utilities, and carry out management checks where necessary. You'll have: Excellent competency in the use of Microsoft Excel Experience of ERP systems (e.g. SAP) Good understanding of financial control policies and processes It would be great to also have: Experience in the use of MS Word, MS Outlook, and MS PowerPoint If this sounds like you, please click the link to apply and speak to one of our PSR team now.
