Then this would be a perfect opportunity for you Working within our clients UK Finance Department you would be responsible for the preparation, reviewing and reporting of monthly management and financial reporting. You would provide support and expertise to ensure for statutory accounts submissions and liaise with external auditors. You would be a mentor for our junior members of the team, coaching and guiding them through their own career. Together with a team of three part qualified accountants you will be responsible for: Preparation of month end and year end accounts to trial balance level including preparation of journals, allocations, balance sheet reconciliations and calculations to a tight timescale. Preparation of monthly Cost Centre Profit & Loss accounts - including answering questions raised by cost centre managers. The reporting of the month end accounts to the parent company via Cognos, including journal postings and reconciliations required for group consolidations. Calculation and review of rebate accruals and payments to our customer base based on contract information. Liaison with senior key account managers to ensure tracking of rebates is accurate and timely. Calculation and review of rebate accruals and payments from our supplier base based on purchasing information. Liaison with senior purchasing managers to ensure tracking of rebates is accurate and timely. The monthly calculation of finished stock values, and preparation of stock reports and analysis to be communicated to relevant parties. Preparation of quarterly VAT returns and annual PSA. Liaison with HMRC on all duty and VAT related matters. Preparation of statutory accounts, including liasing with external auditors. Preparation of Tax computations, compiling details of all backing calculations and supporting documents. Leasing with external agencies where necessary/appropriate e.g. Revenue and Customs, external auditors etc Any Ad-hoc analysis or reports as requested. You will be proficient in a number of finance systems, ideally Kerridge, with advanced Excel skills. You will have the confidence in challenging decisions made and help to implement processes.
