Assistant Accountant - Manufacturing - Nottingham - upto £25,000 study support Are you keen to work in a global manufacturing business? If the answer is yes, then this opportunity could be the one for you Based in Nottingham, this role is a great chance to work for a Manufacturing client with a global footprint. They have a track record of staff development and giving you early responsibility. In this instance, you will support the production of timely and accurate reporting across a number of business units in their global facilities. So what is the job? This is an exciting opportunity to lead on a Fixed Assets project in the business, whilst also learning and developing the skills to become a fully qualified accountant. You'll get broad exposure in all of the key accounting disciplines and work as part of a high performing finance function. Due to the nature of the Fixed Assets project, you will need to have a deep and demonstrable understanding of maintaining the fixed assets register and any associated processes. Core Duties: - Balance Sheet Reconciliations including Sub-Ledger to GL. Month End Processing to include accruals and pre-payments Inter-Company accounting, ensuring settlement of balances Maintain Fixed Assets register Support Year End Statutory Accounts Production Prepare and Submit Vat returns Prepare Instrastat returns Support production of P&L reports, budgets and forecasts Identify process improvement opportunities as part of a continuous improvement culture So who are you? You will be someone that is studying towards a professional accounting qualification. The role does come with study support, and the opportunity to develop and ultimately progress. You will be someone that has a good understanding and adherence to processes and controls, working to tight reporting deadlines at month end. More than this though, you'll be ambitious.
