A FTSE 250 Commercial business require an Assistant Finance Analyst to join their growing team, based in London on a permanent basis. This is a newly created role as a result of continued growth over the past 2 years and due to continued expansion plans across the UK over the next 3 years Reporting directly to the Senior Finance Analyst you will be sitting in a team of 5. Your main responsibilities will be to support with the monthly management accounts for one of the regions of the business. You will also gain commercial exposure as you will be working alongside heads of departments to discuss monthly costs. Responsibilities will include: Supporting with the monthly management accounts along with statuary account packs Handling balance sheet reconciliations Managing month-end processes including posting journals Managing the divisions sales ledger Analysis of weekly sales data including providing commentary Assisting with the completion of reporting packs Continuously supporting the business in enhancing existing processes The successful candidate will be degree educated, actively studying towards your ACCA/CIMA and looking to progress internally with the business in a commercially focused role. You must have a minimum of 6 months experience working within finance, any exposure to management accounting is beneficial but not essential. Experience working with Excel including knowledge of pivot tables and v lookups is essential, knowledge of PowerPoint is desirable. You will be working in a fast-paced environment and the role will suit a proactive and confident individual as you will need to have the ability to build relationships with key suppliers and non-finance stakeholders. You must have strong attention to detail and an ability to be a team player to succeed in the role. Ideally you will have a passion for travelling, you will have the opportunity to travel to the international offices if/when required.
