Meraki Talent are currently looking for an experienced Assistant Accountant for a global client in Edinburgh on a permanent basis. Within this role you would be responsible for assisting with the overall accounting process, financial compliance and asset audits. The client has an amazing benefits package and offers great progression opportunities within the business Responsibilities of the Assistant Account: - Preparation for specific monthly accounts, including monthly close, posting journals and reconciliations - Responsibility of the preparation and reconciliation of billing statements - Maintaining asset schedules and acting as a point of contact for queries including unit 4 issues - Preparing and submitting all weekly, monthly and annual non-UK indirect taxation documentation for specific assets - Preparation of invoices - Ensuring that strict code of conduct/compliance is upheld, including preparing summaries of compliance requirements for client agreements Background of the Assistant Accountant: - Previous experience within a similar role using larger accounting packages - Use of Unit 4 would be highly advantageous - Previous experience using an ERP - The ideal candidate would be multilingual, however is not essential to the position This role will require a solid base of accountancy knowledge and experience and is open to someone who is currently studying for a relevant qualification such ACCA, ICAS or equivalent.
