Finance Analyst - £45,000 - £50,000 - plus bonus and car allowance. hook, Hampshire Wade MacDonald is currently recruiting a Commercial Finance Analyst for a global and well known technology company based in Hook. £40,000 - £45,000 plus bonus and car allowance Role Overview Reporting into the Commercial Finance Director (Enterprise), the Commercial Finance Analyst role will be partnering directly with the Sales/Commercial leads and their teams to assist them in driving profitability and Return on Capital Employed by providing high quality financial analysis, forecasting and budgeting support, and appropriate challenge and balanced decision-making support. The Sales and Commercial teams that this role will be supporting deal with many of the well-known brands, delivering a diverse range of products and services in a highly competitive industry. Key Responsibilities Present sales and customer GP analysis to Sales and Business Management Scrutinise daily sales figures and present an accurate GP position to Management RMA returns analysis Customer and Vendor payment terms vs profitability analysis Develop a thorough understanding of the P&L and the drivers of profitability and return on capital performance, partner with business leads to deliver against KPIs Weekly forecasting of key P&L items for the month along with variance analysis against budget and week on week Own the monthly commission & bonus submission for sales/commercial/support staff and provide commentary against budget & actual profit performance Assist the Commercial Finance Director in managing balance sheet risk and opportunities Communicate complex financial information to non-financial members of the business Provide ad-hoc support to the sales/commercial business leads as required. This might include but is not limited to work on customer tenders, reviewing customer rebate schemes and preparing business cases for new initiatives as required Ensure decision-making is based on rounded considerations including costs, working capital, future ramifications and external response. Support the full evaluation of organic and acquisitive opportunities. Ensure that the business has a clear analysis of its competitors. Support the integration of acquired businesses into the company structure.
