Reporting to the Senior Accountant and with the opportunity to progress your career, this role will suit a qualified by experience Assistant Accountant, one currently studying or an individual keen to commence studies with employer support and mentorship. If you're presently working within accountancy practice or possess a prior practice background and are now considering opportunities to return to the sector, this could be the role you're looking for. Overseeing the day to day accounts preparation for a broad range of clients, your key responsibilities will be:
• Preparing accounts to trial balance
• Production of VAT returns
• Dealing with client queries
• Other ad-hoc projects An Assistant Accountant possessing sound technical skills and the existing ability to prepare accounts to trial balance, you'll also be a confident communicator with the ability to work effectively with both the internal team and the practice's varying client base when required. On offer is a basic starting salary of c£22,000 - £25,000 per annum (negotiable subject to experience), along with pension, private medical and other benefits.
