The Group Reporting Team provides full accounting services to the Group from its central London office. In addition to providing support in the monthly financial and management accounting process, the Group Reporting Accountant will play a major role in the preparation of group and entity statutory accounts during the next year end, 31 August 2019, and will also provide support to a number of finance team projects over the coming twelve months. Main Duties
• Responsibility and ownership of accounting and reporting of 6 group entities
• Prepare consolidation system for month end reporting, which includes posting consolidation journals and running consolidation system packages
• Supporting the preparation of UK subsidiaries statutory accounts
• Supporting the preparation of the group's consolidated statutory accounts and relevant notes to the accounts
• Support in the preparation of quarterly bank covenant calculations
• Support in the collation and preparation of quarterly regulatory information
• Assist with the annual year-end audit
• Development and implementation of robust data collection for month end reporting
• Support in the preparation of group financial and management accounts for monthly close, budget and forecasts
• Analysis and reconciliation of inter-company balances globally
• Manage recharges between group entities
• Ad hoc financial analysis and reconciliations for both finance and non-finance heads
• Monitoring management and financial data used for reporting, management accounts, budgeting and forecasting
• Support the maintenance and improvement of the consolidation system (BPC), with the aim of eventually being a Super User
• Help drive the improvement in the usage of BPC across the Business Units, providing guidance and facilitating the enhancement of the system where required
• Assisting the group finance team with the development and evolution of group wide controls, systems and processes
• Other ad hoc duties as required to help meet Group Reporting Team objectives What we are looking for:
• Qualified Accountant with 1 to 3 years of post-qualification experience in Group environment
• Exposure to SAP BPC consolidation system
• Advanced Excel skills and ability to manipulate data and ability to analyse / organise data
• Able to deliver accurate, high quality work to tight deadlines
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
• Good technical and systems skills, including development of reporting templates and outputs You are required to be eligible to work in the UK full time without restriction.
