Elevation Recruitment Group are pleased to be working on an exclusive basis for a well-established manufacturing business in Chesterfield with a turnover of approximately £11 Million. They are keen to bring in an experienced Qualified Management Accountant with 1 - 2 years post qualified experience to come into the business, manage the finance function and help drive the business forward. Reporting directly into the Finance Director you will oversee a team of 2 accounts staff and will be responsible for running the day to day financials and providing MI to aid strategic business decision-making. Duties & Responsibilities will include: - Full production of Monthly Management Accounts for the business - Producing any variance analysis and any related commentary - Balance Sheet Reconciliation's - Managing all aspects of transactional finance - Driving financial process improvements - Day to day management of 2 accounting staff - Budgeting and forecasting - Acting as a member of the business management team - Working closely with all the various departments within the company providing financial information to support decision making - Implementing tight controls and auditing procedures ensuring that the business is on top of its costs and that any variances from budget are challenged - Producing financial statements and supervising year-end audit - Administration of payroll including the introduction or company pension scheme and other employee benefits - Tax Relief claim for company Research & Development Expenditure - Cash flow forecasting - Administration of Invoice Financing Function - Maintaining Fixed Asset register - Identification of cost improvement initiatives - Continuous improvement across the department To be considered for this role you MUST have the following: - CIMA, ACCA OR ACA qualification - 2 years experience working up to Management Accounts level - Previous experience within the manufacturing sector would be highly advantageous - Strong leader of people - Strong IT skills including Excel - Good problem solving and decision-making skills If you meet the criteria for this role, and are interested in being put forward please do not hesitate to apply or contact me to discuss.
