Sewell Wallis are currently supporting a large, global organisation in their search for a UK TAX & Reporting Manager. Our client is one of the leading providers within their industry and has an excellent reputation with their customers. They are a business that has recently been through a period of change and growth and therefore has an extremely high performing and fast paced finance function. As the UK Tax & Reporting Manager, you will be responsible for managing the corporate and value added taxation affecting the U.K group. In addition to this you will be working on some exciting ad hoc projects across the business that will not be tax related, helping to diversify your skillset further. The role will sit at approximately 70% tax with the rest being accounting related projects. You will report into a highly impressive individual who has consistently progressed through the company and will naturally be an excellent mentor for the successful individual. Your key responsibilities will include the following:- -Managing the UK groups corporation tax affairs including all aspects of tax compliance and tax reporting under IFRS -Preparation of U.K tax figures included in group management accounts, budgets and forecasts -Liaising with external advisors to ensure all tax returns are filed on time -Delivery of all aspects of corporation tax compliance at UK group -Ensure the group is compliant from an indirect tax perspective -Managing the VAT compliance cycle -Support the Finance Director in continual refinement of the UK's group tax policies -Assist the finance function in implementing key changes across process improvement -Acting as the subject matter expert surrounding changing tax laws The ideal candidate will be a chartered accountant with some all-round experience, rather than just purely tax. You will ideally have worked in a recognised accountancy practice, within audit initially, having then moved into a tax specialist role. This is a great opportunity for an experienced tax accountant to really gain exposure to others areas in finance, whilst working alongside a highly impressive finance team. For further details please contact Lucy Campbell. Sewell Wallis acts as an employment agency for permanent recruitment and an employment business for the supply of temporary workers. As part of our recruitment process, we will retain your CV for a period of one year to enable us to consider you for future roles. After this period your CV will be deleted
