We are currently recruiting for an ambitious, driven and talented Senior Finance Assistant to join our Financial Assessments Team in Lincoln. About the Role: As Senior Finance Officer the key element of your role is to deputise and support the Team Leader in leading and managing the financial assessments and business support team to ensure assessment forms are distributed within the agreed timescales and non-residential financial assessments are completed in line with the Local Authorities Policies and Procedures. You will be responsible for the resolution of complex/sensitive issues relating to the work of the team and will be responsible for effectively planning, resourcing, organising and managing workloads. You will support the Team Leader with managing customer complaints/queries; managing all planned and unplanned absences, training plans and development; and with the provision of statistical data. About You: If you are already an experienced Finance Assistant or Senior Finance Assistant, who is used to working with high volumes of work, then we want to hear from you Knowledge of the Care Act and Adult Care Financial Assessment would be highly beneficial. We do ask that you have experience of working in a financial environment and of administrating financial systems as well as previous experience in supervising a small team. Due to the nature of the role you should possess a good level of education - GCSE Grade C or above in English and Maths or proven literacy and numeracy skills as well as competences in Microsoft applications and/or computerised financial systems.
