Their team has many years of experience successfully buying companies and helping them grow. About the Role This is a new business that has already made impressive leaps within their industry. With great plans to continue their journey of growth, it is essential that incoming clients have a smooth transition in connecting with their firm. As such, they are currently looking for a Compliance Assistant to assist the Head of Legal to ensure that the compliance queries, projects and procedures are met at all times. Responsibilities & Duties Maintaining and updating internal compliance registers and assisting with internal compliance audits; Assisting the head of legal with any internal incidents, queries or complaints and maintaining the appropriate documentation to support decision making, outcomes and areas of development; Monitoring insurance policy renewals and liaising with external insurance providers where required; Assisting with the maintenance of data protection documentation including, but not limited to: data protection policies, data protection registers, internal data protection audits and training records; Providing ad-hoc assistance to connected functions across the business where required, such as onboarding, finance, payroll and pensions; Assisting with the creation, adaption and development of internal compliance policies to support business growth. Key Competencies & Skills Experience working in a similar role Strong attention to detail and accuracy Work well individually and within a team Excellent organisational skills Ability to work pragmatically and flexibly A personable and positive can-do attitude Working with initiative to solve problems as they arise Ability to prioritise and escalate/delegate where required Strong communication, administrative & computer skills Basic knowledge and understanding of GDPR is desirable, but not essential Benefits Our client likes to make sure their employees are well looked after.
