Immediate Start Reed Accountancy Leicester are recruiting an Assistant Finance Manager to support a distribution and technology employer with a strong presence throughout the UK. The main purpose of the role is to deliver a compliant function in both open and closed book accounting environments whilst supporting the Finance Manager. To provide customer & site operations team with meaningful and timely data that enables correct business decisions to be taken. Prepare weekly financial results to internal operations. Manage procurement & sales ledger functions. Ensuring integrity of systems & processes to deliver a 1st class service to customer and operations. Accountabilities will include but are not limited to: Assisting with managing the Finance Function, ensuring all audit and legal requirements are maintained Produce weekly reporting pack ensuring numbers are accurate. Role holder will be expected to support Finance Manager in presenting numbers to customer and wider business audience as required Provide financial support and decision making to the Finance Manager Responsible for preparation of and integrity of all reporting, both internal / external including production of Open Book Reconciliations and Balance Sheet Reconciliations Assisting Finance Manager with analysing costs and revenues to ensure they reflect an accurate picture of the customers profitability Ensure strong financial controls and systems are managed and pro-actively ensure the controls are maintained Preparation of accurate cost schedules to support management accounts, with reconciliation to weekly 'Quicks' Ensure accurate and timely invoicing to the customer and customer payments made on time Oversee and cover purchasing & invoice matching. Raising sales invoices and interlocation journals via Oracle system at sites Assist Finance Manager with preparation of budgets and forecasts in line with internal & customer's requirement Raising of Purchase Orders in Oracle system & ensure PO log is kept up to date Ad hoc financial analysis as required This is a temporary opportunity with the possibility of permanent after a successful 13 week period and past exposure to a similar role is essential.
