A new role has been created with a successful, independently owned company who are recruiting for a Finance Manager based in Cardiff. The company are a well-established SME, have been noted for their growth over the last five years. The Finance Manager will be a key member of a small accounts team, with career progression to become the company's Financial Controller a real possibility. Reporting to the General Manager and consultant Finance Director, overseeing the work of an Accounts Assistant. Finance Manager duties Maintain the main ledgers and prepare MI to P&L and Balance sheet level. Preparation of monthly Management Accounts and VAT Returns. Prepayments and Journal entries. Debtors Analysis. Bank/Credit Card Reconciliations. Paying supplier invoices and raising customer invoices with all associated duties. Various analysis work including debtors and suppliers. Cash Book management. Maintain nominal ledgers. Finance Manager person specification Demonstrable experience with the above duties. Strong IT skills (Excel particularly) essential, knowledge of Sage 50 desired. Inclusive nature and "team player" mentality. This role report into senior management and is a key appointment. Applicants will have experience and knowledge in a similar role which could include Finance Manager, Accounts Manager, Financial Accountant, Assistant Accountant etc. Due to the location, applicant will need access to their own transport. (Free onsite parking). As well as the salary there is study support, discretionary bonus and pension.
