Finance Director

My client is a highly successful Fintech business experiencing explosive growth through the application of disruptive technologies. With revenues in excess of £10m they are now looking to appoint their first Finance Director to join this dynamic entrepreneurial team and play a pivotal role in steering the business on their exciting journey to national possibly international success.

Reporting to the CEO, working as part of a close knit management team your immediate responsibility will be to bring in-house the basic finance functions currently being delivered by a third party organisation. Initially supported by a small team your remit will be to develop effective financial controls, processes and compliance; management & statutory reporting; forecasting and working capital management. In addition you will be the trusted finance business partner to the rest of the leadership team.

You will be a qualified accountant with previous experience gained in a high growth SME, previous exposure to Fintech/disruptive technologies sectors would be a distinct advantage. You will possess the confidence, gravitas and well developed influencing skills to advise guide and where appropriate challenge the CEO and leadership team. Although the business is established and thriving, the in-house finance function will effectively be a start-up so it is essential that you are able and willing to adopt a hands-on approach.
