Group Financial Controller Backed by a global leader in this field, a BioTech start-up who develop high end health products are seeking a Group Financial Controller to play a pivotal role in expanding their business globally. Reporting to the COO you will partner directly with him on informing commercial decisions to drive business strategy. As part of a small but growing team in London you will step into a leadership role from day one. Responsibilities for the Group Financial Controller: Take ownership overall business projects from a financial perspective,including implementing controls and procedures. Responsible for setting up all overseas subsidiaries, working with the external advisors to ensure compliance and developing financial controls and procedures are in place Lead for the implementation of the new finance system Oversee overseas finance staff Preparation of year end group audit files and liaising with the company's auditors. Manage and develop the Group 5 -year forecast and act a key business partner with all department heads to review performance Full responsibility for the quarter end management reports-inclusive of P&L's, cashflow and balance sheet Ownership over group re-forecast and group budget to update 5-year plan and full year forecasts Develop and review rolling cashflow forecast and stock flow Management of the management accountant and being responsible for their performance and development Monitor and develop all financial controls and procedures. Be responsible for group insurance policies Review EU VAT returns Be responsible for managing and building relationships with the banks Oversee Intrastat and EC sales list Oversee month end stock reconciliation. The candidate: Qualified accountant, ACA/ACCA/CIMA/CA ideally with relevant PQE within a high growth retail/multi-channel distribution business, preferably having taken the business through a period of expansion Demonstrated history of academic achievement and career development Entrepreneurial spirit Experience managing a team Highly commercially astute Strong relationship building skills with the ability to influence a board and senior leadership A hands-on and diligent approach Start-up approach, no task is too big or too small for you Ready and willing to get your hands dirty In it for the long haul - the business is going somewhere, and you will be part of that journey This job was originally posted as www.totaljobs.com/job/86836928
