What you'll be doing Great opportunity to join a successful global organization as an Apprentice within our Bill to Cash finance team. Learning and gaining a recognized qualification with the CICM as you work. The position will work as an interface between the InternationalBB2C outsourcing vendor and the InternationalBB2C tower leads for the management of process documentation and controls. Working as part of the InternationalBB2C Governance team the applicant will oversee and be responsible for: Ensuring that all policy, process and desktop procedure documentation is periodically reviewed, current, correct, approved and available on the agreed platform. Seek regular attestations from stakeholders to confirm their understanding of certain policies / processes that are expected to be followed within Intl BB2C. Be Intl BB2C's primary person for working with the Verizon Knowledge library team (system used as Verizon's document repository). Be aware of strategic projects such as Continuous Improvement, Transformation Initiatives and System Enhancements so that as these projects come to fruition the process documentation used by the Intl BB2C outsource partner and internally within the Intl BB2C teams are in sync and adjusted to support new developments. Ad-hoc tasks that may be delegated to the applicant from the Governance team's 'Governance calendar' such as Mailbox and Distribution list management, Active Directory management and ensuring the teams adherence to the company's Record Retention policy. Identify and communicate process improvements as part of ongoing process document updates Handling of tasks that may be delegated to applicant that are contained within the Intl BB2C teams Governance calendar. This role is to manage and coordinate process documentation change as it happens, to ensure that all parties are informed, updated and consulted as processes are updated as a result of either improvement or system change. The applicant needs to be proactive in engagement and self-driven with strong organizational and communication skills. The applicant is responsible for the following tasks: Ensuring the Intl BB2C outsource partner meets its contractual requirements around documentation Maintaining a repository of current process documentation available for use throughout the Intl BB2C organisation and by the Intl BB2C outsource partner Ensuring a regular review is undertaken of all processes to ensure that they remain current and escalation to manager and/or director level should deadline be missed Liaising with the Project Managers and ensuring that processes are adjusted as necessary in line with new system and/or environmental changes Ensuring that proposed process changes by the Intl BB2C outsource partner are reviewed by the appropriate tower leads and signed off by Verizon prior to implementation Maintain and update process related training material in conjunction with the Intl B2C outsource partner Additional activities could include, supporting automation initiatives, management of independent projects and some level of user acceptance testing. Given the nature of the role activities around Business Continuity planning, Sarbanes Oxley control testing and oversight of the Global Clearance policy in force over the Intl BB2C vendor may also be required Leadership: May receive general guidance for the accomplishment of short to medium term goals and operating objectives; plans and executes own work; decisions are made independently; may have accountability for leading or directing work or projects in the process domain. Generally provides guidance and/or training to others. Will be given opportunities to take on additional work/projects to learn new skills and to widen experience Work Complexity: Acts independently with little supervision to carry out all activities required. Exercises independent judgment and discretion within generally defined practices and policies to carry out these tasks. May act as adviser to team members with day to day operations and also advise with regard to best practice B2C policy & processes. What we're looking for You'll need to have: Bachelor's degree or one or more years of work experience. Commitment to an apprenticeship in the Billing team. Strong desire to learn and gain a CICM qualification. Strong administrative ability and an eye for detail Experience in Microsoft Office/G-Suite tools, especially Visio or similar. Excellent written, oral and presentation skills with the confidence to communicate at senior levels. Even better to have: A degree. Experience or knowledge of finance. Knowledge of a Bill to Cash type environment. Awareness of controls and experience in handling documentation.
