A rapidly growing, international, private equity backed software company based in London seek an ACA qualified Group Financial Controller. The company has grown to 350 employees with revenues of £35m, since its inception, 10 years ago. Following significant investment from a private equity firm the strategy is simple: Grow to $100m ACV within five years. The Group Financial Controller will provide the platform for a successful finance function and ultimately the success of the business. The role is responsible for monthly financial reporting, cash management, transaction accounting, tax compliance, statutory compliance and the control framework. This is a highly visible role working closely with the CFO and multiple stakeholders, internal and external. This is a leadership position responsible for a global team. Success will require a balance of hands on intervention and thoughtful delegation and coaching of the existing team, making changes where required. The role will also require the ability to deal with ambiguity and apply a pragmatic approach to problem solving. It is expected that after a 6-12-month period, the Group Financial Controller will also lead and own the FP&A team, enabling the CFO to focus on growing the business as per the plan. The successful candidate will be practice trained and ACA qualified. You will have demonstrable experience gained in an international Software or SAAS related business and will have the drive and tenacity to develop a best in class finance function that can support the growth ambitions of the company. Previous experience of working within a PE backed environment is highly desirable.
