The Company Manufacturing organisation based South of the Tyne are seeking a Financial Accountant to join their team due to continued growth. Due to business plans, they are looking for someone that can cover transactional finance duties but also someone who can grow into an Accountant role short term, followed by Financial Controller role longer term and ultimately the potential to step up to Financial Director role further into the future. The Role Initially the role will cover aspects of transactional finance: ledger/payroll reconciliations credit control support, checking the work of the accounts administrators production of supporting schedules for management accounts to name a few examples of work that will be undertaken. You will develop at your own pace (ideally) over 6 - 12-month period and arrive at a point where you are able to carry out the management account preparation in full, including: accruals, and prepayments balance sheets analysis and reporting. You will ultimately become more independent in your own work, allowing the FD to step away from the day to day finance duties. The Person The successful will be either part qualified or newly qualified. If part qualified, you should be actively studying towards qualification the ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualification Candidates who have a background in audit who are looking to make their first move into industry will be considered IT skills are ESSENTIAL. It is vital that you have strong Excel skills (Vlookups, MS Query & pivot tables to name a few). Access skills and experience are also strongly desired. It is important that the you are ambitious and career motivated. You will be required to progress and learn along with the needs of the business. It is also important that you are looking for a long-term career and will settle in the role long term.
