The recruitment department of the French Chamber is acting as a recruitment agency for its over 570 member company, one of which is currently looking for a Senior External Auditor . The primary purpose of the firm is to provide audit and accounting-related services to meet the needs of clients with operations in both the UK and France. In addition the firm offers financial due diligence and investigations, tax and company secretarial services. As a senior auditor you will be responsible for the day to day running of the audit fieldwork. This will include liaising with the client, helping and guiding the junior staff with their work and reporting any issues and updates to the audit manager. Key

Responsibilities:
Prepare samples of transactions to be vouched and traced for each cycle Provide guidance to associates on audit schedules to be prepared and audit tests to be performed Review the work of the associates during fieldwork Provide Audit Manager with feedback about juniors under your supervision Prepare and update checklists for all audit request letters sent prior to commencement of the audit assignment and confirmations received thereafter Verify amounts and other information included in audit confirmations to audit papers work and inform Audit Manager on any discrepancies noted Inform Audit Manager of any issues or observations gained during the audit fieldwork Assist Audit Manager in follow up of time table agreed with clients Assist Audit Manager in the preparation of analytical reviews from trial balance and other information received from the clients prior to the planning meeting for discussions on any significant variances and design of suitable audit procedures Assist Audit Manager in concluding on the audit work undertaken by helping prepare the Group reporting documents Profile: At least two years of experience in an audit firm Already started to study for the ACA/ACCA or equivalent in France Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Fully operational in both spoken and written English and preferably also in French Reliable and trustworthy Flexible, adaptable and reactive Organised with excellent time management Highly motivated to succeed Good team player Solution minded
