Due to continuing growth our Predictive Modelling team currently have a number of exciting opportunities for amazing colleagues to come and be a part of the VM family. Our modelling team are central to our Risk function; they provide the framework through which decisions are made so we can keep our customers' and investors' money safe. Your contribution is integral and as part of the Predictive Modelling team you'll help to build and maintain the foundations of our business decisions. By developing and evolving our models across capital, credit and other behavioural risk areas your insight will contribute to achieving best in class risk models. Sound good? Read on... No day is the same and you will work closely with your stakeholders to support the delivery of business objectives and provide your technical expertise to ensure Virgin Money operates compliant and achieves its "be safe" requirements. As a snap shot day to day you could be: Leading the design and development of AIRB, IFRS9 and forecasting models and operational scorecards. Offering insight and making recommendations that contribute to achieving best in class risk models. Supporting the continued development of a best practice modelling culture within the bank. Undertaking analysis, design, build and implementation of risk policies, frameworks, processes, models and/or systems. Providing recommendations for model enhancements. Producing clear well written model documentation to support Independent Model Validation. Coaching colleagues and sharing your expertise to expand skills across the team. Producing MI to support reporting by managers and senior leaders, ensuring issues are escalated. We'd love you to have: Experience working with retail AIRB modelling, IFRS9, decision scorecards or forecasting models. Sound working knowledge of SAS programming and MS Excel Experience of developing analytic solutions ideally within the retail banking sector A degree in a relevant numerate discipline - but it's not essential The ability to build successful and collaborative relationships as you'll work with a number of stakeholders across the business at all levels An understanding of key risk principles and a lust for learning as you keep abreast of established and emerging industry practices Is this you?
