Assistant Accountant - Derby - £21,000 - £28,000 My client has gone through an impressive growth strategy over the past few years and it is for this reason that they has created a brand-new Assistant Accountant role to work directly with the Finance Manager in a small finance team. My client is looking for those driven and intuitive individuals that have a keen eye for details and don't mind rolling their sleeves up to work across the department. This position will see you get hands on some very technical Management Accounts duties in a significant period of growth for the business, hence being a prime time for you to join. Duties and Responsibilities Month end processes - assisting with the preparation of monthly Management accounts including P&L and Balance Sheet recs Fixed Asset Register Prepayments and accruals Cashflow reporting VAT reconciliations Assisting with the general ledger What You'll Bring to the Team Excel skills are essential. At least 2 years previous experience in similar role is ideal. CIMA/ACCA studier Strong analytical skills, with the ability to distil a large amount of data into key themes and trends Able to learn new subject matter quickly and to work effectively both individually and as part of a team Salary and Package Our client is offering a salary between £21,000 and £28,000 dependent on experience.
