A European insurance & reinsurance specialist with significant exposure to a variety of direct and reinsurance classes of business including property, liability, marine and motor is currently recruiting for a new Financial Controller. Reporting to the Group CFO the successful applicant will support the Finance function in an acquisition driven, hands on environment. You will work closely with the Executive management team, assisting with the formulation of business plans and strategies and supporting production of all internal and external financial, regulatory and ad hoc reporting requirements. The role requires strong leadership abilities including providing supervision, appraisal and development of members of the Finance team. Applicants must be qualified accountants with extensive non-life (re)insurance knowledge, have good working knowledge of IFRS and Solvency II, group management reporting and / or statutory & regulatory reporting experience and have extensive experience of managing staff.
