Crosslinks is seeking to recruit an Accounts Assistant to join the busy and enthusiastic team at the London office in Lewisham. The successful applicant, working under the supervision of the Accountant, will be responsible for all day to day accounting activities up to management accounts level. This is an important position within the Society requiring a good understanding of the accounts function of a reasonably sized charity. Crosslinks' prime focus is making Christ known through the proclamation and teaching of God's word in the power of the Holy Spirit. We are enthusiasts for creative worldwide mission as we take 'God's word to God's world'. Responsibilities of the Accounts Assistant To undertake the day to day data entry of both income and expenditure using Sage Line 50 linked to ThankQ contact management systems and to ensure accurate coding is maintained within the system. To see that all cash, cheques and other monetary instruments are banked on a regular basis and ensure that all bank accounts have adequate funds. To provide accurate and timely financial information to the Accountant in accordance with Crosslinks' reporting guidelines or the needs of the Accountant. To be responsible for and administer the petty cash account. Desired skills and experience Practical working knowledge of financial information systems, ideally Sage Line 50. A working knowledge of computerised database systems (Crosslinks uses ThankQ). A demonstrable high level of numeracy. Excellent organisational and planning skills and the ability to handle crucial deadlines against changing / conflicting priorities. Ability to use initiative during day to day financial routines. Additional information The post holder will be an evangelical Christian with a strong gospel focus, committed to the local church and able to align themselves with and sign the Crosslinks Declaration of Belief and Basis of the Society.
