Wilson Recruitment are currently working with a well-established company based in Wellingborough who are recruiting for an experienced Financial Controller for the business. The Successful candidate for this position will need to be either ACCA or CIMA qualified accountant with experience in a manufacturing environment using MRP techniques. Past exposure to SOX and procedural techniques is ideally as the company is part of a US multinational group. The role will have two direct reports who are mainly working on sales and purchase ledgers, payroll, cash and bank work. Duties for this role will include but not limited to;
• To ensure group consolidation reporting of financials to strict deadlines.
• Responsibility for the company budget, rolling outlook, forecast and cash flow management. Develop KPI's as needed.
• A sound knowledge of statutory accounts disclosure and preparation given the company prepares these.
• Liaising with external and internal auditors.
• HMRC compliance (VAT, Intrastat, Payroll related matters) and preparation of other government statistical returns.
• Implementation of the financial strategy.
