GBR Recruitment Ltd are working in partnership with a well established progressive manufacturing business in Lincoln, recruiting for an experienced Purchase Ledger Clerk to join the finance & accounts team on a temporary basis. If you are an experienced Purchase Ledger Clerk / Accounts Assistant looking for a fresh challenge, then this is the role for you. Overview of the Role: Hours: Monday to Friday 08:30 am to 5 pm Main purpose of the role: To provide accurate and prompt service to assist with the daily administration and management of the Purchase Ledger. Main duties/key tasks: Pre-registration and processing of invoices Invoice checking, matching, batching and coding Check and reconcile supplier statements Processing of payments, both in sterling and foreign currency Investigating and resolving invoice queries, both internally and externally with suppliers Set up and maintain supplier accounts General office duties to include; filing, making and taking telephone calls Contributes to team effort by undertaking tasks as required by your Line Manager Comply at all times with the letter and spirit of the Company's Health, Safety & Environmental Policy, Equality Policy and Code of Conduct Experience Required: Experience working in a purchase ledger role within a fast paced working environment Able to work under your own initiative both independently and as part of a team. Require excellent accuracy and attention to detail, good computer skills in particular Microsoft Office suite and experience of ERP systems. Strong communication skills for dealing with internal customers and external suppliers. Strong organisational skills and able to work quickly under pressure to confidently meet deadlines.
