£220 Per day Umbrella TEMP 3 Months We are seeking a CCAB or CIMA qualified accountant for a Principal Accountant role within Resources Department - Finance, Investment and Risk Division, supporting the Education and Youth Engagement Division for three months, pending permanent recruitment, with extensive experience finance and an understanding of relevant financial legislation, professional accountancy codes and financial best practice. Demonstrable experience of successfully managing key financial processes (budgeting, monitoring, forecasting, closing of accounts, completion of grants and statistical returns) is also essential. The role will primarily Budgets alongside the regulatory and statutory requirement of this specific funding stream and support the Finance Manager. Overall responsibility for overseeing financial planning, management and coordination of financial arrangements for a given area across both revenue and capital finance and/or cross cutting areas such as corporate and statutory reporting, and technical finance. Expected to lead on a number of processes to ensure that internal and external deadlines are met. Maintain a proactive relationship with key stakeholders across the board, providing valuable finance support and effective challenge. They will play a key role in delivering an integrated approach to the development of financial strategy for our client The post holder will be expected to maintain up to date technical knowledge and develop processes and procedures to ensure compliance with new requirements and legislation.
