FINANCE ASSISTANT REQUIRED FOR AN IMMEDIATE START BASED IN COLESHILL £18,000 - £23,000 PER ANNUM FREE PARKING BENEFITS CAREER PROGRESSION My client is a well known and expanding financial company and are now looking to recruit a Finance Assistant on a permanent basis. This is a pivotal position to assist the Finance Manager and would need a forward thinking individual who can manage their own workload as well as having a real interest in progressing within their career. Ideally the successful candidate would have 2-3 years experience in a similar role however qualifications aren't essential. Due to the nature of the organisation there is a compliance list below which you would have to pass, if you feel there could be an issue with passing this please do not apply as it would be an automatic fail: Clear DBS (criminal record history) 5 years of address history Credit check - no CCJ's or Bankruptcy 5 years of employment references [ The role ] - Assisting with the preparation and distribution of weekly sales invoices - Conducting regular purchase and sales ledger reconciliations - Reconciling bank statements on a weekly basis - Supporting the information needs of accountants and responding promptly to queries - Assisting with the running of the daily settlement function - Liaising with customers daily, providing settlement notifications and assisting with any reconciliation queries - Data analysis and production of monthly and ad-hoc reports - Providing holiday cover - Other ad hoc financial support as and when necessary - Provide support to other internal stakeholders as required [ Person and skills required ] - Being highly organised and able to efficiently plan and manage workloads - Having a high level of integrity, attention to detail and accuracy - Demonstrable initiative and problem-solving skills - Self-Starter - able to find your own tasks and remain motivated - Ability to prioritise work under pressure and complete within deadlines - Efficient and professional approach with the ability to multi-task - Strong planning, analytical and organisational skills - Excellent interpersonal skills and written communication skills - Self-motivated, self-disciplined with strong time management skills - Flexible 'can do' attitude - IT literate and proficient in the use of Microsoft Office application - Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information in a professional manner If you believe you have the skills/experience for this great opportunity please apply ASAP For more information please contact Mike at our Birmingham office.
