My Client are established chartered accountants based in Harrow, Middlesex whose services include expert Tax Planning, and Accounting & Business Advice to growing businesses and individuals. With a wide variety of clients, from sole traders to large multi-nationals. They have extensive experience and specialist expertise, and a warm, friendly, personal approach. A member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of England and Wales ICAEW. We are looking to recruit an Accounts, Audit and Tax Senior to join their team.
• Good technical skills in audit and accounts
• Be responsible for tasks which could range from accounts preparation (relating to Companies, Partnerships, LLP's and sole traders), completion of personal and partnership tax returns and computations, assisting clients with HMRC tax enquiries and other tax matters, completing P11D returns and any other special assignments and/or ad-hoc projects as required by the partners.
• Review and completion of accounts for sole traders, partnerships, LLP and company accounts as well as income tax and corporation tax computations.
• Review and completion of audits
• Supervision of staff on specific jobs
• Develop and train seniors, semi-seniors & juniors
• Undertake required training for all staff
• Ensure that professional standards are maintained
• Chasing up books and records from all clients on a timely basis.
• Maintaining and allocating accounts to staff to ensure that the relevant deadlines are met.
• Ensure that all assignments are completed to a high standard before passing them on for partner review.
• Be self-motivated, able to work to tight deadlines, and have excellent interpersonal and supervisory skills.
• Handle all aspects of running and delivering client personal, accounts and consultancy requirements and reporting to partners.
• Identify risk matters and selling opportunities,
• Liaise with managers/partners on progress for all jobs and cross selling opportunities.
• Control cost budgets, meet reporting timetables and prepare key client reporting documents.
• Develop professional relationships with clients and within the firm.
• Actively manage your self-development and continuing professional education.
• Attend CPD courses or other professional courses as required by the firm.
• Have a genuine interest in understanding your clients' businesses with the drive to deliver exceptional client service.
• Be able to work well both as part of a team and also unsupervised. - ACCA / ACA Qualified or equivalent - Previous supervisory experience within a practice accountancy environment crucial - Strong communication skills
