Our Client is recruiting a Finance Manager to join there finance team. The Finance Manager would be responsible for all aspects of management accounts and financial controlling within the organisation. To develop, improve or enhance financial processes and systems as directed. The Finance Manager would work in partnership with all Departments, taking ownership of key financial processes and leading the preparation of monthly management reporting, including budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis. Key Accountabilities
• Margin reconciliations
• Overhead review, variance analysis
• Maintenance of Fixed Asset register
• Supplier Bacs payments and transfers
• Preparing full monthly management accounts
• Budgeting
• Forecasting
• Monthly/Quarterly HMRC, Tax, VAT returns
• Responsibility for all balance sheet control accounts which are to be reconciled on a monthly basis - Group reporting
• Freight and packaging reconciliations and analysis
• Year End Tax accounting information packs to be completed and submitted to Group
• Involvement in Year End external audit and any internal audit visits
• Review and improve internal accounting processes to tighten financial control, produce efficiencies and enhance customer service
• Partner with local management to improve internal controls
• Work with the Managing Director on Internal Control Questionnaire and Delegation of Authority Matrix where required
• National Statistics data forms
• Manage the small financial department team, coach, train, mentor, develop and motivate
• Other ad-hoc monthly reporting as required by the Managing Director To be successful in this role you will need to be experienced at data manipulation, setting up reports and have an eye for detail. The Finance Manager will oversee the month end process. Knowledge, Skills and Experience - Finance Manager
• Fully Qualified CIMA/ACCA/ACA with experience
• Experience using Microsoft packages essential e.g. Advanced excel
• Commercial awareness
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills
• Ability to influence and support others
• Ability to problem-solve and use initiative
• Motivated and responsible outlook
• Able to work well under pressure and remain focused
