My client in Leatherhead are seeking a senior/ experienced Credit Controller to join their Credit team of three on a permanent basis. The business is in a fast growing industry and the company itself it the second largest in the country within it's field, also recently undertaken a large business merge. They are a fast paced, high volume finance department and require focused, driven candidates who really care about their ledger, reducing the debt and making a real impact. Additional hours may be needed if the business needs require it. Role purpose: Drives the debt collection activities for the Company and aims to reduce ageing within the Aged Debt profile.
• Over the course of each month, contacts the clients regarding their outstanding debts, and seeks payment thereof. Documents all conversations or letters as appropriate. In doing so, develops working relationships with all major payers
• Takes part in a weekly review of debtors; recommending actions to be taken on all debtors as appropriate. More complicated debtors may be referred onto the line manager.
• Ensures that debtor day targets are met within the areas of responsibilities.
• Identifies collection problems at the earliest opportunity
• Manages the contact database to ensure it remains up to date
