We are currently working with a very well-established organisation who are currently recruiting for a Compliance Officer to join their friendly offices in Hatfield. Joining this dynamic and progressive company, you will assist in the maintenance and monitoring of all aspects of the ongoing compliance activities of the business, ensuring all regulatory and corporate requirements are fulfilled and communicated in a professional manner. You will work Monday to Friday between the hours of 9:00am - 5:00pm. My client can offer you a very competitive salary which will be dependent on level of experience. Duties of the Compliance Officer: Work in collaboration with various parts of the business to enhance company compliance awareness and support the development of all potential procedures Support application, adoption and compliance to all relevant company policies Administrate various training activities Assist with adhoc internal audits and completion of compliance related spreadsheets and check sheets Assist with risk assessments and monitor the progress of weakness remediation and process changes Document, test and audit branch internal controls over financial reporting Conduct nationwide fixed asset audits (will require travel and overnight stay) Help manage on-site audits Maintain the ISO14001 accreditation and update documentation accordingly Apply any knowledge to all aspects of reporting including REACH, Battery Reporting, WEEE Reporting and ROHS legislative obligations Complete general administrative duties including arranging travel and meeting room bookings Upload and maintain policies and procedures on the in-house intranet Previous Experience and Competencies: A self-motivated, methodical, organised, punctual, assertive and personable individual Must be IT Literate and competent user of all Microsoft packages Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written Analytical process documentation skills with excellent attention to detail Excellent time management and multitasking skills with ability to meet deadlines Ability to work under pressure Internal audit experience highly advantageous Experience of business process controls essential Experience of Battery and WEEE Reporting, Reach and RoHS legislation and/or and understanding of JSOX - all desirable
