Nottingham Support Office Function area: Finance Shift pattern: Full-time Contract type: Permanent Hours per week: Over 35 hours per week The two newly formed Senior Finance Manager - Business Financial Control vacancies have been designed to provide a reliable and timely close process for our Pharmacy and Operations finance areas. They include journals, accruals, reconciliations, treasury and technical accounting, but also a commercial element as you will provide accounting advice and guidance to the Pharmacy or Operations finance team ensuring adherence to a strong SOX control environment. Key Responsibilities Ownership and leadership of month end, quarter end and year-end closes whilst adhering with policies and procedures Responsibility for review of journals and account reconciliations together with any necessary investigatory work Ability to challenge and change existing processes and promote automation wherever possible Support the implementation of new accounting standard in relation to lease accounting, where appropriate Lead a small team to continuously deliver to a high standard whilst ensuring the personal development of each A bit about you... You will be a qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with strong technical accounting skills and commercial experience within a large organisation SAP and Cognos experience is desirable Strong MS Excel skills Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with senior partners across the business and finance A bit about us...
