Responsibilities:
- Ensure accurate and timely recording of all US receipts and expenditures in QuickBooks.
- Assist outside accounting firm in "closing" Soloinsight's books each month
- Reconcile company's bank accounts
- Manage accurate and timely invoicing of charges to customers
- Obtain and maintain proper documentation for all expenditures and payables, including staff expense reports.
- Maintain records and location of all company assets.
- Assist in preparation of monthly budget.
- Develop and maintain a cost accounting system that records all costs of on-boarding customers.
- Track important financial deadlines (e.g., payment of taxes, filing dates, invoice collection etc.)
- Ensure proper integration of Autotask with QuickBooks.
- Investigate and recommend methods of saving money on expenditures.
Necessary Skills:
- Detailed understanding of accounting and bookkeeping techniques.
- In-depth familiarity with QuickBooks, Excel and Autotask.
- Fluency in English (written and verbal).
- Ability to work during US business hours.
- Persistence in gathering and validating information from internal and external sources.
- Ability to work independently.
Qualification:
- Demonstrated proficiency in the above-mentioned skills.
Deliverables:
Weekly:
- Download bank transactions into QB
- Proper classify transactions
- Check accuracy of integration of QB and Autotask
- Review expense reports submitted by employees for completeness before forwarding to CEO for approval. Maintain records of all submissions, approvals and payments.
Monthly:
- Work with outside accounting firm to prepare and disseminate monthly financial statements.
- Reconcile bank accounts.
- Reconcile financial performance to budget.
- Prepare and disseminate reports on accounts receivable and payable.
Quarterly:
- Ensure necessary filings with taxing and regulatory authorities.
- Work with CEO on preparation and dissemination of Investor letter
Yearly:
- Ensure necessary filings with taxing and regulatory authorities.
- Assist in preparation and dissemination of financial statements.
Performance Measurement Metrics:
- Timeliness and accuracy of report submissions and completion of tasks.
- Co-workers assessments of incumbent's team spirit and communication effectiveness.
