My client is a well known established company working in the Logistics industry, looking for an Purchase Ledger Clerk to join there expanding Accountancy team based in Crawley.
The Purchase Ledger Clerk will be a key figure in the day-to-day running of the Accountancy department. The key responsibilities will be:
- Checking purchase invoices and credit notes to purchase orders, and entering accordingly to computer system
- Dealing appropriately with invoice queries, liaising with Purchasing and Goods Inwards departments to resolve issues in a timely fashion.
- Preparation of monthly payment runs via Bank electronic payment systems. Raising small quantity of overseas cheque payments.
- Inputting BACS request.
- Meticulous and regular filing of all relevant paperwork.
The successful candidate will need to be able to travel within the Crawley area and have relevant experience with the above.
