Overview

The Role and Team

apetito are looking for an Operational Reporting & Process Improvement Analyst graduate to join the warehouse operations, distribution and customer service business unit based in Portbury, Bristol. As both an operational and financially minded analyst, you will be responsible for producing and reporting on daily operational KPI’s, KCI’s, financial performance and business metrics for key stakeholders in the business. You will also be responsible for data gathering, designing reporting and providing analysis which delivers key business insights (operational & financial) into current performance. Additionally, you will identify opportunities for potential future improvements and efficiencies across a variety of disciplines including – Inbound logistics, Inventory Management, Warehouse Order Picking & Dispatch, Transport & Delivery Planning, Customer Service Processes.

Working closely with the CS&D Commercial Manager, you will help develop a deeper commercial and operational insight into apetito’s current performance, focusing on areas which have the potential to improve the bottom-line and enhance the customer experience / journey.

This role will provide a graduate with:

Responsibilities

  • Producing and reporting on daily and weekly KPI, KCI and financial performance for the CS&D business unit
  • Tracking and production of daily / weekly customer service KPI reporting
  • Developing regular CS&D business unit update presentations
  • Reporting to the management team weekly regarding actual spend vs budget, forecasted spend, actual vs proposed savings
  • Working with financial and project teams to appraise projects, monitor and control the budget and develop additional controls
  • Working with the stakeholders across CS&D and the rest of the business to deliver and drive projects forward
  • Coordinating CS&D site meetings, producing and circulating meeting notes & action logs
  • Identifying continuous improvement opportunities across the Portbury site
  • Tracking and controlling project costs
  • Working in all CS&D departments to gain a full understanding of current processes and systems

Qualifications

Essential:

- Degree or studying towards a degree  (2:1 or above/predicted) within a business / finance / logistics discipline 
- Excellent Microsoft Office skills – in particular Microsoft Excel/Powerpoint

Desirable:

- Familiarity of a warehousing, logistics and customer service environment
- Knowledge of budget and cost control
- Knowledge of project management
- Strong interest in operational & financial business analysis and operational process improvement

- Excellent interpersonal skills 
- Ability to work in a team, as well as independently 
- Looking to develop themselves professionally (CIMA/ACCA/CPC/MCILT)
