Job Details

Reporting to the FD, this position is to provide full finance support to a number of large and complex Facilities Management contracts across the Greater London area. Based in large modern offices in either Weybridge - Surrey, OR based in London.

Please note - this role will be office based for 2-3 days per week, with the remaining 2-3 days at client sites across South London / East London / Surrey.

Description

The Finance Business Partner role involves;

*Work alongside the Operations Director and site General Managers to ensure that all Divisional financial targets are met through identifying business trends, managing financial risks/opportunities and working with all levels of operational management

*Fully responsible for managing and finalising the month-end accounts for 6 client contracts. 3 day close followed by a presentation of accounts with FD on day 4.

*Full involvement in contract negotiations where a material change to service and funding is anticipated and ensuring that these changes are fully accounted for and reflected in the contract financial reports

*Attendance at internal finance and business review meetings to analyse performance of both individual contracts and division

*Highlight all key risks and opportunities on the contracts and ensure action is taken to mitigate and maximise respectively

*Attendance at client meetings, leading discussions on financial issues such as debt management, additional works invoicing, contractual uplift negotiations

*Analysis, interrogation and finalisation of management accounts on a periodic basis to a tight timescale, ensuring all income and costs are accounted for in accordance with accounting policy

*Develop and execute actions to improve financial performance, ensuring that contract action plans are developed, followed, updated and communicated on a regular basis indicating the expected timescales and impact of those actions

*Monitor the profile of expenditure to provide accurate trend analysis therefore identifying areas for improvement on contracts and assist in the accuracy of forecasting

*Liaising with credit control to assist in the monitoring of customer debt, ensuring that operational management resolve issues promptly to obtain invoice payment in line with payment terms

*Preparation, review and presentation of monthly forecasts and annual contract budget with all levels of operational management

*Thorough analysis of individual and consolidated divisional forecasts always ensuring that year end targets are achieved

*Ensure that all finance processes are consistently followed on contracts; be the expert in the finance systems used

*Supporting Senior FBP on any ad hoc requirements

Profile

The ideal candidate for the Finance Business Partner role will;

  • be Part qualified / Finalist level CIMA or ACCA
  • Have a commercial understanding of their current business
  • will have prious experience of business partnering with non-finance staff/teams/managers
  • Previous experience of management accounts analysis and interrogation is essential
  • preferred systems experience - NAV, Saffron, Excel (Macros experience is desirable, not essential)
  • be willing to travel (Surrey/London)

Job Offer

The Finance Business Partner role can pay up to £40-45,000 + car allowance (cash value £6,000 per annum), flexible working, and great benefits.
