Description

  • Leading on business planning by developing the organisations longer-term financial forecasting models that reflect the strategic plan.
  • To provide high-level financial analysis to enable effect strategic decision making and to provide assurance to the Board on the accuracy of financial data produced.
  • To assist the Director of Finance to support the Board of Trustees with a range of financial reporting.
  • To ensure that Statutory Accounts are produced in accordance with applicable legislation.
  • To lead on the production and development of all financial reporting throughout the organisation including monthly management accounts, budget holder reports, cash-flow forecasts, balance sheet reporting and both in year and long-term financial forecasting.
  • To present accurate and timely reports to the Senior Leadership Team, providing commentary and variance explanations so as to facilitate business decision making.
  • To lead on the annual budgeting cycle for the organisation, and the financial business planning cycle.
  • To develop or implement financial systems and processes to improve efficiency of the finance team and/or to provide enhanced data or reporting and to adapt to changing markets.
  • To assist the Finance Director to ensure the organisation has robust financial controls in place and to periodically review them to ensure continued relevance in relation to organisational risk.
  • Profile

  • Professional Accountancy Qualification.
  • Experience managing a team of qualified and part qualified staff.
  • Extensive post qualification experience operating at a management level.
  • Having experience in budget preparation, setting and monitoring and financial forecasting.
  • Experienced in preparing and presenting financial and management accounts, reports and data.
  • Ability to develop a range of financial reporting models, and maintain and develop financial systems.

    By joining this charity of Head of Finance, you will receive:

    • A basic salary of £50-55,000 (offered depending on experience.)
    • Other good benefits including good pension and holiday allowance.
